Ad-Hene is a name that means ‘Themselves’ in Manx Gaelic and it is the name given to Fairies from the Isle of Man. In Manx belief, it is advised not to offend the Fairies who can become quite hostile to people. Fairies disliked being given bad names or looked down upon so calling them Ad-Hene or ‘Themsleves’ is a safe bet that you want get on the wrong side of those devious Fairies.
