Ahi At-Trab are desert spirits from the Muslim Tureg folklore. They are rarely seen but are said to live underneath the uppermost layer of sand in the Saraha desert. They come above land and manifest as a whirlwind or twirling sand pillar causing many problems to the nomadic people. They drink up all the water of the area as soon as the Tureg arrive at an oasis and cause camels to loose their footing when travelling.
