One of the Balam of Mexican belief. Their name means ‘Smiling Jaguar’. There were four of them that guarded the four cardinal directions. He was one of the first human-like creates created out of corn. The ogds created a woman called Caha-Paluma to marry him. The other three Balam were Balam-Ahab, Mahucutah and Iquitos Balam. They four Jaguar men were made by Harukan from white and yellow maize paste after the world was flooded.
