A goose that is believed to hatch from barnacles on driftwood. Some believe that they hatch from trees that grow near the sea. It was a goose that Europeans encountered when it flew south due to the cold weather. People were undecided if it were a fish or a goose and debated on whether it could be eaten during Lent when no meat is meant to be consumed.
