A Giant from Leicestershire in England. He rode a horse to try and get from one side of the country to the other as quick as possible. Starting from a place now known as Mount Sorrel, the horse leaped in the air. The place where they landed became known as Wanlip meaning ‘One Leap’. He leaped again and when he landed the girths broke. This place became known as Burstall. Finally he reached the other side of the country in his final jump but when he landed both Bell and the horse died of exhaustion. This final place was named Bellegrave.
