These were fire-breathing bronze bulls from Greek myth. They were created by the smith god Hephaestus for King Aeetes of Colchis. When Jason travelled to Kholkhis in search for the Golden Fleece, the King demanded that he yoke his Bronze Bull and to plow the field with Dragon’s teeth. After these deed the King of Aeetes gave Jason the Golden Fleece.
