A creature from Spain whose name means ‘Vinegar Face’ because of his sour disposition. He had a large head with a lantern like jaw. He wears white trousers, a blue jacket and a tricorne hat similar to the sailors of the 18th century. He was once a terrifying creature but over the years he became part of children’s tales, used to scare youngsters into being good natured.
