One of the Hecatoncheires. Its name means ‘the Striker’. The Hecatoncheires were three Giants born from Gaia and Ouranos who each had one-hundred arms and fifty heads. The others were Briareus ‘the Strong’ and Gyges ‘the Many-Limbed’.
