A type of Wood Wife from Germanic folklore. She lived in solitude in the woods and was often seen wearing white robes. In Bavaria the Dirne-Weibl was known to have worn a red dress. She would seldom emerge to ask travellers to accompany her. If any traveller refused her seductive invitations, she would run away weeping. She carries a basket full of juicy apples that transform into money to those who follow her and are lucky.
