Man eating water beings from the Rhone river depths of England. The Gervaise of Tilbury from the 12th century described these monsters from the dangerous encounters of the local people. The Dracs would stalk the boats on the river and swim near the surface holding a glittering object. This would attract a child or woman and when they put their hands in the water to grab the item, the Dracs would swiftly grab and drag the victim under.
