An antelope that allows girls in puberty become marriageable. During a ceremony the white markings of the Gemsbok are painted on the girls faces and they dance. A very sexually attractive male is chosen to dress in the hide of an antelope with horns on his head and he hides in a bush. The girls then one by one go up to the bush turn around and show their buttocks to which the Gemsbok comes out, pushing his horns against her body and revealing his genitals. From this point on the girls are now marriageable.
