A creature from the tales of North American lumberjacks. The Hodag had very long horns and tail with a row of spike protruding from its back. It lived in the swamps where it stalked its prey including humans. The Hodag had one major fault; due to its spines, it could not sleep on its side as it would become stuck in the undergrowth. Instead it leant against a tree to sleep. Lumberjacks would partially saw the trees near the swamp of a Hodag so that when it leaned on a tree to sleep, the tree and beast would fall over. Unable to get up with its spines stuck in the ground, the beast could be easily killed.
