A guardian of serpents from the myths of Sweden that is itself a serpent with a great crest on its head. In the ‘Hammar Chronicle’ there is a story of one man who killed a snake. Soon he was surrounded by snakes and he started killing them until the large head of the Serpent or Snake King appeared and the man fled.
