A many-headed serpent that guarded the golden apples of Greek legend. He was so vigilant that he never closed his eyes and always kept watch. His sister is Echidna who bore many monsters. It was apart of Hercules eleventh labour to steal the apples. He did this with the help of the Hesperidian Nymphs who liked the golden apples. Hercules lulled the beast into a deep sleep and was able to steal the apples effortlessly.
