A Djinn from Tales of the Thousand and One Nights in which Sinbad encounters the Old Man of the Sea in his fifth voyage. The creature is described as a hairy human with a wizened face and a long beard with pointed ears and nose. His body looks deformed but he has a mighty strength about him. He lives in the vastness of the deserts and rides upon peoples backs until they die of exhaustion. Sinbad was able to dislodge the Djinn from his back and slay the spirit.
