A spirit of the underworld from Babylonian and Assyrian mythology. Pazuzu takes on human shape with the face of a dog and a scaled body. He has the wings and talons of a bird and the male genitalia in the form of a snake. He protected people from the Demon Lamastu and from devastating winds.
