A crocodile that seduces women of the Aboriginal people of Australia. A story tells how it hid in a tree where there was a beehive. A father told his two young girls to fetch some honey from the hive as they had small hands. When they approached the tree, the Pikuwa emerged with a terrifying cry that scared the girls. Instead of killing them, it dug a whole in the earth and laid there with the girls. In the morning the girls woke up and covered the sleeping Pikuwa with logs. They then called for the snake to emerge. When it did the father came and clubbed the beast to death. Now crocodiles are said to have a lump on their head to remind them never to seduce young women.
