A cannibalistic woman from the mythology of the Maori people in New Zealand. She had spine protruding from all over her body with large hairy hands that were tipped in sharp talons. Her mouth was big with fang-like teeth. However people thought that she was not a danger as she was blind. She once killed many small girls by decapitating them and devouring them. A group of warriors gathered to find the killer of the girls. One warrior asked Ruuruhi-Kerepoo if the killer had come by. She became frightened and killed the man severing his head off. She had not realised that the other warriors where nearby watching. Then men attacked her with their clubs but the woman was protected by her many spines. They then switched to spears and killed her.
