A fearsome creature from the folklore of Ireland. It lived in the sea and the island of Inis Cathaig (Scattery Island). It had a bulbous body with one eye in the middle of its forehead. It had the mane of a horse and talons on the end of it legs. This creature was created sparks from its talons as it moved through the water and had the ability to breath fire. The 6th century bishop, Saint Senan banished the beast and set up a monastery in that area. Saint Attracts or Saint Attracta was a nun who had built a safe house on the island of this beast.
