An Akkadian god of Mesopotamian myth that takes the form of Uridimmus. Uridimmus has the upper-half of a human and the lower-half of a lion. He was the god of the sun, truth and justice as well as a destroyer of evil and guardian of Kings. He is seen carrying a staff and is bipedal. He is also known as the ‘mad lion’. He helps Etana to free an eagle trapped by serpents and gives the plant of life to Etana to give him the ability to fly to heaven. He also takes the form of the Sumerian god Utu.
