One of the many creatures from the tales told by the lumberjacks of Wisconsin and Minnesota in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It has the body of a dog with the ears of a cat. It makes the sound of an old kettle whistling as it comes to the boil. This short-legged stubby animal walks backwards by choice and issues steam from its mouth. When steam comes out it makes the sound of a kettle boiling.
