The name of the Titans from Greek mythology. This name was used by the Italian poet Boccaccio (1313- 1375). He wrote many books on Greek and Roman mythology. His fourth book was solely concerned with the progeny of the Titans including Atlas, Astreus, Alous and his Aloid children, Ceus, Enceladus, Egeon, Ephialtes, Japetus, Otus, Pallenes and Typhon.
