A female serpent that inhabited the Nebraska river of North America. According to the Sioux Indians, she had a heart that was a rock crystal that had the power of prophecy but this power would fade in degenerate times. Her churning of the waters made it muddy and unsuitable to drink. At one time two young men set out to kill Uncegila. They found her in the rivers and she rose up to kill them. However one of them had learnt a magical spell from a medicine man to temporarily subdue the creature. While he invoked the spell the other hunter shot her in the seventh segment of her neck killing her outright. The waters drained dry and her corpse fell to the ground. The hunters then dug out her rock crystal heart.
