A Giant in Indian mythology that is the son of the wind god Vayu. His name means ‘Wolf’s Belly’ due to his gluttony. His main function is to suppress Demons. His brother tried to murder him with poisons and dispose of his body in the Ganges. However the serpents in the Ganges rescued him.
