A sea creature from the beliefs of the Haida Native Americans. It is long reptilian serpent that has small legs and a small head. Once a man went fishing wearing the skin of an animal. He caught many fish that day but was then overcome by two whales. The two whales brought his to live in a palace under the sea never to live at home again. He was only allowed to go back onto land to see his wife and bring her to his new underwater home. It is said to be very auspicious to see the Wasgo, his wife or his children.
