An evil creature from the myths of Australian natives. Yara-Ma-Yha-Who had the body of a human with a head of which most of it was taken up with an enormous mouth. Its head lay on a small body with a grossly oversized belly on small legs. Instead of fingers they have long tentacles with suckers on. They hide in the trees waiting for misbehaved children to come along so that they can grab them with their tentacles and haul them up into the trees to be devoured. The Yara-Ma-Yha-Who would first suck the blood out of the child with its tentacles and then swallow them whole. After eating it would drink vast quantities of water, which made it vomit. If the regurgitated child was still alive then the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who would eat the child again. However some children were clever enough to feign death and wait until the monster had gone to sleep so that they could make their escape.
